About Us
Two Designers Walk Into a Bar is a podcast that brings together storytelling, history, and design to explore the cultural impact of brands, advertising, and creative work. We dive into pop culture, nostalgia, and the stories behind some of the most iconic creative movements and artifacts. Now, we’re looking for a motivated intern to help us grow our audience, increase our discoverability, and expand our listener footprint.
About You
We’re looking for a curious, creative, and detail-oriented student who is passionate about media, marketing, and storytelling. If you’re someone who loves podcasts, enjoys researching trends, and can craft compelling messages that engage an audience, we’d love to work with you. This internship is ideal for students studying Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, or Graphic Design.
Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Content Engagement
Create audiograms, animated artwork, and visual assets to promote episodes across social media.
Develop and schedule engaging posts that align with our brand voice and storytelling approach.
Monitor audience engagement and explore ways to deepen connections with listeners.
Research best practices for podcast promotion on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
2. Media & Podcast Outreach
Conduct research on potential guest opportunities and feed swaps with other podcasts.
Identify speaking gigs, podcast guest spots, and industry opportunities for exposure.
Develop pitch materials and outreach strategies to secure media coverage and collaborations.
Track responses and maintain an organized outreach database.
3. SEO & Discoverability
Research keywords and optimize podcast descriptions, episode titles, and show notes for searchability.
Identify content trends and explore new ways to position episodes for greater discoverability.
Analyze listener data to understand growth patterns and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
Conduct audience research to discover the traits of our most passionate listeners and understand what drives engagement.
Qualifications
Strong writing, communication, and research skills.
Passion for storytelling, podcasts, and digital media.
Experience with social media marketing and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar a plus).
Understanding of SEO principles and podcast discoverability strategies is a bonus.
Ability to work independently and contribute fresh ideas.
A good sense of humor and familiarity with our podcast.
